What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?
The spine is made up of 26 bones called vertebrae. Each vertebra is designed to move, which allows the entire spine to move as a unit. Your chiropractor will assess your spine, and other joints in your body to determine if any of the joints are not moving properly. Once, he has determined where to adjust he will use a fast and shallow movement with his hands to restore the motion in that joint.
What is the popping sound when I get a chiropractic adjustment?
When you are adjusted, air is released from the joint which causes a “popping” sound. It is comparable to air being released when uncorking a champagne bottle.
